The article on contagious yawning in dogs by Dr. Romero T., Project Researcher of University of Tokyo, was published in PLOS ONE on August 7, 2013. In this study, the research group took telemetric anxiety-related physiological measures to rule out the possibility that the observed yawns were the result of arousal.
